Body Painting: Exploring Dysmorphia

This project evolved from the need to replicate the reality of living with Body Dysmorphic Disorder, and the warped sense of self image it creates around the body. This peice was painted with my body, including the arms, legs, hands, feet, breasts and face, to create a symbolic partnership between my body and the representation of it within the paint and how it was applied. the breasts were painted with my own and 'exaggerated' to the extent that i see them in the mirror.
